Butterfly Nursery is owned and co-managed by Rachel Stafford whose own children (now grown up), as well as many of the other practitioner's children attend the nursery. Rachel has worked at the nursery for over 18 years and graduated with a Degree in Early Years in 2013. Butterfly Nursery Limited has just celebrated its 14th Anniversary and has grown from strength to strength as a childcare provider.  Rachel works closely with a highly experienced Management Team who jointly oversee the Nursery and Afterschool Club.

Being located in the heart of Peacehaven allows us to work closely with all local primary schools, which we feel enhances the already excellent care and education we can offer our children. We are able to provide a smooth transition for our children from nursery to school.  Being just a short walk from shops, the main bus route, local schools and with plenty of nearby free parking available we feel we have the most accessible childcare setting for parents.

In September 2016 we re-located our Meridian school setting into Greenwich House allowing us to provide even

more flexible childcare options and facilities for our families to benefit from.  We now offer nursery children space to play and learn in our 4 rooms -

We also have a calming Sensory Room, Soft Play Room & Sleep Rooms on the first floor and outdoor learning areas in both our Garden & our Courtyard.

In April 2017 we opened our very own Breakfast, Afterschool & Holiday Club - providing childcare for under 12s.

We were inspected by Ofsted in August 2017 and have been graded as a strong GOOD in all areas.  A copy of the report is available for parents to look at if they wish and can be accessed by our website and Ofsted's own website.   

Rachel recently won 'Business Person of the Year - 2018' at Seahaven Business Awards for Peacehaven, Newhaven & Seaford.
